I have had venmo, PayPal and eBay. PayPal and eBay are under my business name, a LLC and verified.
Venmo messaged me and said to open a business account. I applied, got approved and approved for taking card payments.
I have a eBay account. I sold stuff on eBay and waited the 2 weeks. Paid like 30% in fees and shipping out of pocket and taxes.
The money was transfered to venmo when cleared.
I've had venmo with no problems. The day that the eBay money goes to venmo they suspended my account. Said I needed to send my ID and change my password. I did.
Called 3 time and nothing.
I get a emails saying there are 2 PayPal accounts with my name in the email that have a negative balance. So they said they said because is PayPal they were keeping my money until I cleared up the $1100 in the PayPal account.
1.). I've had PayPal for a while. I have a card process merchant account with them also and they have no problems with my account.
2.) the email address have my name but not my email address.
They are not my email address.
3.) PayPal is not venmo. When I called eBay to try and get help or reverse the transfer they said they aren't venmo. They cant call venmo.
eBay bought PayPal. PayPal bought venmo.
They are different companies.
4.) all 3 are in my LLC name. We all know the purpose of a LLC. Personal and business are separate. So I would only assume it the same way in reverse.
I don't see how they can take money from a LLC besides a person is allegedly negative in a account on their personal account.
5.). My info had been exposed in data leaks about 5 times in the last few years. 2 of which were PayPal leaks.
6.) these account have not been verified as mine and they have sent me no info or details. Just a email address, again that aren't mine.
One is a iCloud and I use Android.
7.). Why allow me to even open the account if that was a issue in the start. My PayPal is active with no restrictions, yet my venmo is suspended.
8.). Why wait until my money transfered to my venmo before suspension.
They had all this time , 2 days before I was just approved to take credit cards. Now suddenly this is a problem. It seems like theft and organized scheme to defraud me of my money.
Like I said , it is a LLC. All 3 are LLC now.
And they are holding my money because of a personal account which seems very illegal and I intend to file against them.
We were under a mandatory evacuation and needed all the money I could get for the hurricane. I am in Florida in a disaster area. I told them this and they still. Did nothing.
Don't even reply to emails. I feel like this should be a enhancement because of that. Everyone else who steals during a state of emergency gets a enhancement.
And finally. If venmo said they suspended my account because of paypal they should mean they assume debt , good and bad for other companies owned by eBay and PayPal.
Like chime who owe me $1200 because of fraudulent misrepresention, Lilly and all the other ones that have cheated, not investigated disputes and taken money and frozen accounts for no good reason.
I used venmo to minimize issues because they are all the same owner of the company. Even though they have different member. License number etc. Also.
eBay said they won't use venmo as a payment option.
You have to link the card to use them. So they don't even like them.
User's recommendation: Dont use the people affiliated in any way with your online merchant or store accounts. Especially when it comes to PayPal and venmo. They will freeze your account at some point.

Hello. Last week, I tried to use Venmo services using my number, 505 595 ****, but unsuccessfully.
So, I shut the account. Now, I keep getting texts with identification codes. I did not request them.
I closed the account and it sent codes to my number 4 to 6 times after closing the account. Please assure me that no one is able to pose as me using my number, 505 595 ****.

This is a lie! This company is a scam! Its connected to a scam website
Official Rocket Gummies.com I emailed the site asking if they would be able to give me a discount because I am a disabled veteran. I got a prompt response email saying they would only give me a discount if I bought in bulk. I asked how much it would cost to purchase 100 packages of gummies? Courtney Harrison from the Sales Department wrote $900, for 100 boxes.
I should have listened to my gut but instead I was in chronic pain and my back felt like theres a butcher knife in it. So all I can think about is getting the gummies mailed to me. I was assured that I would have them delivered to my house within a few days.
Then when I first went on Venmo I tried using the purchasing part on the app and it wouldnt work. It only accepted it without the protection. So I put it through without it and of course it went right through. She thanked me and said that they were being packed up and I would receive the gummies.
I got an email saying that because I had ordered such a large amount of gummies that I needed to pay for the postage. The email said Please reimburse me for the 3 stamps on your discrete shipment. This was probably the same people who pretended to be apart of Official Rocket Gummies.com
I sent Courtney an email saying that it was a pretty nasty trick to ask for more money for stamps and I didnt pay it right away. Two days later I got a phone call from Good Rise Logistics telling me that my package is on hold because I refused to pay postage.
The man on the phone said Is this anyway to start a business relationship? We would like to be able to send you your package with your rebate. I had no pain medication and I had no gummies left. He said you will be able to talk to me personally should you have any questions or problems. Im Nathan and I hope this is the start of a business relationship. I went to Venmo and once again I tried using the protection for purchases and it wouldnt work. Then I went to use the name that he gave me and it didnt work. I emailed him and said its not working thinking that it was my fault. Venmo had possibly blocked that name because of other complaints against him. He said Oh, its probably in my wifes name! So I sent it in the new name and $210 went right through.
I contacted the same phone number that Nathan had called me from and my number was blocked. So I used a friends phone and asked where are my gummies and he saidThey should be there today! Of course after I hung up my friends number was blocked when I tried calling him back after the gummies never arrived.
I know that I should have done this before I ordered anything but I looked online and found out that its actually illegal to receive gummies in the mail! It must stop so many people from reporting these *** to Venmo or writing an article like this one. I have to write this because it will stop them from stealing from anyone else. All of us veterans who served our country and injured in the line of duty.
I should have checked out both fake companies before I sent anything to anyone. Lesson learned! I hope they go down hard. I also reported them to the federal trade commission complaint # 17623****. Doesnt the 666 in the number tell you everything?

I thought I was buying a golf cart from someone I know and found out that he was hacked. I will upload the evidence for a review and I am having a hard time talking to a live person at Venmo.
Broken account
I cannot get help I have reset the password 5 or more times and cannot log in. I am a new customer and cannot get help opening the account.

Terrible customer service. I bought Litecoin, then couldn't send it for 3 days.
I sold it through Venmo. Now, I gotta wait 5 days to get the money. I'm sure Venmo will keep the 83 dollars.

I understand I was out of town grab the wrong wallet didnt have a photo ID to update and I am currently homeless and Im out of town and Im at a hotel and I have the money on the card and I able to access the card because it deleted it from cell phone and once I went to go log into it it wont let me log into it without a photo ID so it was me being homeless I lost in the transition lost my photo, and they were not very

I was supposedly paid $200 fir a gig, and it never appeared on my Venmo. I tried for more than an hour to navigate their website to get a phone number and then to get the phone to connect me with a person.
When they finally answered, they said they were Paypal, not Venmo, and had no access to my account.
They then gave me the same phone number I had just called and told me to call it. When I tried to explain the situation further, the rep pretended not to be able to hear me and hung up.

On October 17, 2024, my sister (same last name!), transferred $350.00 to me. I moved that $350.00 to my bank account on October 17th, 2024 at 8:35 PM.
I signed on today, October 19th, 2024 to verify the transfer status to learn that the money is still in my Venmo account. There is absolutely no valid reason to freeze my account and cancel that transfer. There has been no unusual activity or anything that might trigger 'some flags'. There is no excuse to hold my funds or for any of these irresponsible actions by Venmo.
Today, October 19, 2024, I spoke with Venmo Representative Jacob (ID number refused) and then spoke with Venmo Supervisor Greg, (ID number 8452****), and the conversations were fully recorded. Greg stated that he would be contacting Frankie R. (Account Specialist) right away, and that time was 4:31 PM ET on October 19, 2024. I was told by Venmo Supervisor Greg that I would hear back from Venmo Account Specialist Frankie R.
by the end of today, October 19th, but I have not. If Venmo wants to retain my business, Venmo needs to handle this matter responsibly and the $350.00 needs to be in my bank account no later than October 22, 2024. If not, Venmo needs to return the $350.00 to my sister and close my Venmo account permanently.
If the latter is the case, I will never use Venmo again. Note: I have had this account since 2020 and the account has always been in good standing.
