Disputed some transactions lost a couple, so I had to pay them back even though that company had refunded me the money. I didn't know you had to pay back refunds.
The merchant themselves overdrew my account for running my card when they shouldn't have even paid that back and fixed their mistake. However, Venmo claims they didn't. They claimed they gave me a provisional credit, which they had not. If they did, I don't know because my account was frozen and still is, even though the merchant and I have paid it back.
Before the premiere is saying that over my account, my account was unfrozen, so I had everything paid off, whatever they say. I owed from the lost dispute that was refunded; therefore, I shouldn't have even lost that case. They turned around and brought back up saying I still owed for it, even though I have more than enough evidence. It was already paid for and settled, yet my account has been frozen.
I have no access to it. I told them $83.24 has been put in that account that they owe me. It's funny how it went from 48 to 78, as you will see in the screenshot. I questioned what about the account recovery payments made.
What did those go towards?! They said the Fred Meyer debt. Not even possible because Fred Meyer's was way after those recovery payments were made. They refuse to pay my money.
They just want to argue with me.
I want to know if there's anybody out there who can give me advice on where to go for legal assistance if I want to sue them for all the time and stress they are causing me out of my day. I was just simply not wanting to pay me.

I had to dispute some transactions regarding order that I didnt receive from the grocery store. The grocery store accidentally ran my card instead of using the in-store credit which over drew my account.
Demo claims merchant never paid them yet the merchant saying they did. Venmo is also claiming.
I never paid even though it was paid back out of dispute money that I had won.. I lost a dispute which I ended up losing so I had to pay back the professional credit they had granted which I have no, my account is still in red for these transactions and they refused to fix it and they refused to pay me and they owe me that I shouldnt have even paid back to one because I would have one since the merchant themselves paid for it

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Don't use them.
In order to unfreeze it I had to upload documents containing personal information, which was never required before, then they would unfreeze me. I submitted docs and it was unfrozen. BUT every time I try to transfer the funds, at first it says transfer in progress, then within seconds my account is frozen again and my money stays with them. Good luck trying to speak with a real person on the phone.
Today alone I was on hold for over 2 hours. Their system has a glitch they cannot fix and so customers cannot get access to their own money! I even called their parent company, Paypal, and was told it has to be handled by Venmo customer service.
There IS no customer service! Whatever you do, do NOT use Venmo (or paypal)!

Closed the accounts. Immediately close your account. If Venmo does not help you, contact the mother company PayPal and they will help.
I maintained two Venmo accounts - one personal and one for business - both managed through a single app.
Without warning, the Venmo app on my iPhone started crashing repeatedly and became completely unusable. I spent hours attempting every published troubleshooting step with no success.
When I tried reaching customer support, I discovered an absurd catch-22: phone support never connects you to a live person, and you're constantly redirected to their help center, which is only accessible through chat... in the app. The same app that wasn't working!
It's impossible to get actual help when you need it most.
The real impact?
Because of this app failure and complete lack of accessible customer support, I lost income as a seller and suffered actual financial losses. This is unacceptable for a payment platform that businesses rely on.

In 2024, I had a business, and a customer paid me with Venmo. It was over $200, but he apparently put it in the wrong column, so they didn't realize it was my money.
After I waited a week, they said it would take a bit longer. A month later, they told me I needed to send them copies of my ID, two bills in my name, and bank statements. After two weeks with no answer, I called, and they gave me the runaround for over two more months. No one would give me an answer about whether they received the paperwork they asked for.
They would bounce me around from one department to another. I would receive emails saying the same thing about the things I needed to send to them when I had already done it three times! So, after months of arguments with them and getting no answers, I finally gave up.
You can't do anything to this business, unfortunately, unless more people start to complain about them. Only then will something be done to shut down businesses that are there only to steal your money.

It is not possible to talk with a customer service agent and there are times when you have financial difficulties that can only be resolved by speaking with a live agent.

They’ve hung up on me multiple times they have not refunded any of my emails or better business beurre. then I find out there’s been an open chargeback since the day I disputed this case.
From the merchant themselves that talk to him about whether they’re not talking to me and I don’t understand why I have to hear back when I want to dispute. Let alone when they gave me provisional credit why account was frozen so do you even have access to it so they took it back it’s fine but they’re telling me I had to pay that back even though I wanted a few no sense but they owe $83 and then you pay and then this is the whole thing they don’t want to pay me that money.
